Steve Jobs Dead at 56

Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs has died on Wednesday due to complications from pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. Apple confirmed his passing on its website, although immediately did not give any further details. After several years of successfully fighting the disease (Jobs was first diagnosed with the illness in 2003), Jobs’ health waned in recent years and he was forced to resign from his position as CEO of Apple in August.

Eat All Your Food or You Will be Fined

Restaurants in the eastern province of Damam, Saudi Arabia, giving fines to customers who do not eat all the food on their plates. This was done in solidarity for the world's poor. Fines will be distributed to charity. Customers do not dispute the existence of this penalty.

"As long as it's for charity I am not questioning the idea," said a restaurant customer. He just hopes that all restaurants in the province will follow.

Just a couple of days ago, HP will abandon the market for smartphones and tablet, failing to stand up to other products on the market. Along with the announcement that surprised many, even considering the recent acquisition of Palm and its mobile operating system WebOS by the company, came news that does not do much honor to the products of HP. A source close to the company would in fact confirmed that HP Tablet was tested on a WebOS iPad 2 and found that the OS you meant about two times faster than HP was on the TouchPad.

Warrant Singer Jani Lane Dies at 47

Former Warrant singer, Jani Lane, has been found dead in a motel room, near Los Angeles on Thursday (11 / 8) evening. He was 47. No official cause of death has been released.
Officer Sara Faden says Jani Lane's body was found in a Woodland Hills hotel. She had no immediate information on the cause or circumstances of his death.
He had an on-and-off relationship with the band, leaving it in 1992 before returning and quitting again several times.
In recent years, Jani Lane appeared in VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" and made news for a drunken driving arrest.

Most Wanted Terrorist, Osama bin Laden, Killed in Pakistan

Osama bin Laden, the glowering mastermind behind the September 11, 2001, terror attacks that killed thousands of Americans, was slain in his luxury hideout in Pakistan on Monday morning in a firefight with US forces, ending a manhunt that spanned a frustrating decade. After a firefight, a small team of American forces killed bin Laden and took possession of his body, the president said.

President Obama said he authorized the mission to make a move on Bin Laden last week, after several months of planning, and the attack went down in the compound where the Al Qaeda leader was hiding. Bin Laden was killed after a firefight.

Bin Laden's demise comes 9 years, 7 months and 20 days after the 2001 9/11 attacks.

Total Lunar Eclipse December 2010

Early in the morning of December the 21st, on the winter solstice, there will be a total lunar eclipse. If you live in North America you should have great views of the eclipse. If you live in Western Europe you should be able to see the beginning of the eclipse.

If you don’t see the total lunar eclipse on Monday/Tuesday (depending upon your location) you will have to wait until 2014 to see the next one.

The Naked Gun Actor Leslie Nielsen has Died

Comedian actor Leslie Nielsen, reportedly died at the age of 84 due to complications of pneumonia, Sunday (28/11).The Canadian actor died at 17:34 local time. Shortly before he died, Nielsen surrounded by his family at a hospital near his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Nielsen was best known for his roles in "Airplane" and the "Naked Gun" series.

"We are saddened by the death of beloved Leslie Nielsen. Maybe he is more remembered as Lt. Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun series, "said John S. Kelly (Nielsen Manager) in a statement.

MySpace that was established since 2003, now has more than 100 million members. Myspace will offer a new feature called "mashup with Facebook" that allows Myspace users use the Facebook account. The personal integration allows users to easily create entertainment that focuses on their profiles on Facebook.

Prince William's Engagement to Kate Middleton

Britain's Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton are engaged to be married. The officiall announcement was issued Tuesday, ending years of speculation about the couple's possible pending nuptials. "The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton," said the statement from Prince Charles' Clarence House office. The couple apparently became engaged in Kenya  in October as the two vacationed together.There is not a specific date set for the Royal wedding but it should happen sometime in the first half of 2011 and it will surely be a sight for all to see. Their 2011 wedding will be the largest Royal event since Prince William's parents, Prince Charles and Lady Diana were married on July 29, 1981.
